JO MALONE SWEET ALMOND AND MACAROON CANDLE

Jo Malone Sweet Almond Macaron

What is Christmas without a Christmas scent?! Typically, my usual is a pine scented and christmas-tree channelling candle cause… Original (not)! But this year, I decided to jazz it up a little and go for something a little sweeter like my personality (or so I like to think ha) – to open the festive season reminiscing about old times and get me in the mood for my trip back down under… for a Summer Xmas – with the new Jo Malone Sweet Almond and Macaroon Candle* (RRP £42).

This sweet concotion of a home candle is my festive jam – actually, my anytime jam if we are being completely honest. I have been burning life at both ends recently (the perks of managing bloggers + celebrities), so this little patty-cake of joy is seemingly starting to take over my life and woo me with it’s confectionary-style scent. It is a little decadent, a little creamy but bursting with cherries like a rich Christmas cake softened with an edge of vanilla. It is warming, welcoming and wooing and makes my house smells like a French Patisserie all year round!

Being a candle hoarder you would probably know that I am very nasally-led. If there is something with a scent, I will most likely sniff it. So, candles are kinda my area of expertise. On any given day, my room has about 5 different candles ready to bask in the lit-party! I never light two candles at once cause I prefer to bask in the nasal-symphony of one scent at a time. However, Jo Malone candles (especially this bad boy) have a brilliant way of being able to be layered – lit two at a time. The Jo Malone Sweet Almond and Macaroon candle goes really well with the Jo Malone Wild Fig and Cassis – if you dare to delve into multi-burning!

What is your go-to Christmas scent? Or do you like to jazz it up a little?

*PR Gift – as with everything, my opinion is always my own.
