Nestled in a quiet yet bustling town of Cheltenham, a mere 2 hours outside of London lays the elegant Instagram-ready townhouse No. 38 The Park – a boutique and bespoke hotel that sends many a heart a flutter. This tranquil oasis on a busy road offers more than just beautiful interiors, but a relaxing, quirky getaway for everyone.

Not only is this place pulse inducing, but it also happens to be my go-to get-out-of-London stay, having visited 3 (magical) times staying a total of 7 nights sharing the experience with different loved ones each time – and so many more in the future (when my bank balance allows it). With it’s cosy not-just-ornamental fireplaces, bespoke furniture, copper-tinned bath tubs IN THE BEDROOM (shouty caps necessary as I can never contain my excitement when I have one), squidgy and dream-inducing mattresses big enough to house an entire family and intricately and individually designed rooms where every corner houses a new surprise.

My stays at No 38 The Park is the perfect antidote for overly exhausted life in London – where even my 10 minute commute in to Tottenham Court Road Station can have me wanting to heave my breakfast onto the ground and tear my hair out. Just a few nights at No. 38 The Park sprinkled across the year has enough healing power to restore equilibrium to my restless soul (along with some grounding sessions to the deep countryside), enabling me to catch up on my Zzz’s and get in a bit of touristing around my favourite part of the UK – The Cotswolds (a mere 30-40 minute drive away). The location of the townhouse truly is impeccable, not to mention: breathtaking!

Each of the 13 bespoke bedrooms are individually designed by owner and interior designer Georgie Pearman. Sourcing fabrics and furniture from British producers, you can be sure that each and every detail is a true one-off. Delve into the super king-size beds, with Egyptian Cotton linens by Three Thieving Magpies and mohair throws, perfect for those long lie-ins. All toiletries are from 100 Acres, made in England using natural botanicals and essential oils.

Each room blends classic comforts with modern essentials, with iPod docks, Nespresso machines and HD TV with Sky as standard, whilst the mini-bar is stocked with treats from local farmers and producers.

No 38 The Park is perfect for a weekend break in the Georgian spa town of Cheltenham, with its independent shops, racetrack and restaurants.

Where is your favourite country getaway?

I have stayed at No. 38 The Park three times at my own cost. This post is not sponsored or gifted – just genuine love for the place.
