As many of you would know, I am moving to London in a couple of weeks. Aside from the frantic dash to get everything done (oh, and renew my license – MUST remember to do that), I have been devouring everything travel related. I have started becoming obsessed with anything that reminds me of my big adventure – especially travel sized beauty products. So, when the Lancôme best sellers gift pack arrived on my doorstep from ActiveSkin, I got butterflies and ripped it open to start testing it out.

If you were a long-time reader of the blog, you would know that I was quite the fan of Lancôme Hypnose Star – a regular mascara favourite of mine. And, also, that I am quite the lover of  Lancôme Genefique and Visionnaire – but it had been a while since I last used them, so was super excited to dive back (a little) into the world of Lancôme… and remember just how much I adore the brand.

So, here are my thoughts on the little travel pack that I received.

Lancôme Hypnose Star

I have written about my love for this nifty mascara prior, so I will say it again: quite a fan! This tiny little travel-sized tube will be joining me on all my flights in February thanks to its compactness, and the fact that it is probably the one product that requires the least amount of effort to make me look awake.

Lancôme Hypnose Star is an intense volumising and lash curling mascara, that allows me to achieve the ‘doe-eyed’ look (or, in my case – the ‘come-hither-Harry-Styles’ look ha #joking), sans the clumsiness. It creates show-stopping lashes in an instance, and will remain a favourite of mine for a very long time!

Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth Activator

Lancôme really hit the nail on the head when they created Génifique. Then smashed the ball out of the park with their advanced formula! So, to say that I am fangirlling over this beauty would be an understatement. Not only is the Advanced Génifique a promising line reducer (in under 7 days, in fact), but it helps to refine the skin tone, and plump it up: making it a decent travel companion for overly air-conditioned environments.

I remember when I trialled the full-sized bottle a full year back of this baby – lots of skin hallelujahs were sung!

Lancôme Visionnaire Creme Correcting Polishing Cream

To be honest, I was totally confused by this product. With every google search, it said to use the polishing cream with the polishing pads – which it did not contain. But, apparently it helps to correct the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, whilst reducing pores. I used this product a few times and was quite content with it – it helped to refine and smooth out my skin.

Lancôme Tonique Douceur

Probably the least interesting of the lot is the Tonique Douceur, but surprisingly, it was the one I was most impressed with. I had never used this miracle toning water before, but am now hooked. It is an alcohol-free lotion that is enriched with soothing extracts for perfect makeup removal on dehydrated skin. It refines, tones and removes gunk without stripping your skin of its natural oils.

It also removed stubborn cheek stains super well – usually the bane of my existence.

ActiveSkin is a great online store, that services basically all your beauty needs. Heck, it even stocks one of my all time favourite products (Lancôme City Miracle CC Cream), so it must be pretty darn fabulous #BeautyGalsDream
