Hear ye, hear ye: Lucy proclaimeth, she goteth her coloured and haircutter!
Yes my pretty folk, I got my hair cut and coloured, and it is definitely cue for loud cheers, ticker-tape parades, excultations. Maybe lets throw in a piñata for good measure (everyone loves a Piñata). It truly is a gradious occassion seeing as though the last time I got my hair ‘done’ was back in April (and coloured back in February). Yes, feel free to judge, it truly was a travesty that needed to be nullified… and nullified it was, with some seriously experienced mittens of the ever talented Prema peeps at Bondi!
Life has been so crazy-town this year, that having my hair did was pretty low on the list of things to do. But, having made time in my schedule and experienced the life-changing cut and colour that I got from Prema, I think it is going to have to be regular thing. Yes people- a hair cut and colour ACTUALLY changed my life, and made me see “the light” on how important ‘keeping-up-appearances’ (or my-appearance) is to my sanity, confidence and general happiness in life.
The minute I walked in to Prema Bondi, I knew I was in for a treat. The way the staff cared for me: for everyone: was truly something that caught me off guard. I just assumed hairdressers were there to transform your hair, and make awkward conversation with you. Not here! They genuinely cared, always checking to see how I was doing when my colour was developing, re-stocked my magazines, and was always asking if I wanted more tea or if they could pick me up some lunch. Their customer service skills were above-and-beyond..But now, let’s chat their hair expertise.
To start off, Heath, the head stylist, and my new favourite person, chatted to me about what I wanted to achieve. I wanted to go for something new, something that matched my pale British skin tone, showed off my hazel eyes and something that was was funky and fun (but not too over the top). We decided upon Goldwell soft copper base that melded into a soft Titian and Maple Ballyage. We drew colour inspiration from Blake Lively and Bella Thorne: can you tell?
** I was kindly gifted this hair experience from Goldwell and Prema Salon for blog consideration. I received the hair goodies (minus the serum) from a Goldwell event earlier on in the year. This did not, in any way, influence my opinion on the product.
