MY GOLDWELL EXPERIENCE AT PREMA HAIR

Australian-beauty-blogger-Prema-Hair-Goldwell-
Hear ye, hear ye: Lucy proclaimeth, she goteth her coloured and haircutter!

Yes my pretty folk, I got my hair cut and coloured, and it is definitely cue for loud cheers, ticker-tape parades, excultations. Maybe lets throw in a piñata for good measure (everyone loves a Piñata). It truly is a gradious occassion seeing as though the last time I got my hair ‘done’ was back in April (and coloured back in February). Yes, feel free to judge, it truly was a travesty that needed to be nullified… and nullified it was, with some seriously experienced mittens of the ever talented Prema peeps at Bondi!

Life has been so crazy-town this year, that having my hair did was pretty low on the list of things to do. But, having made time in my schedule and experienced the life-changing cut and colour that I got from Prema, I think it is going to have to be regular thing. Yes people- a hair cut and colour ACTUALLY changed my life, and made me see “the light” on how important ‘keeping-up-appearances’ (or my-appearance) is to my sanity, confidence and general happiness in life.

The minute I walked in to Prema Bondi, I knew I was in for a treat. The way the staff cared for me: for everyone: was truly something that caught me off guard. I just assumed hairdressers were there to transform your hair, and make awkward conversation with you. Not here! They genuinely cared, always checking to see how I was doing when my colour was developing, re-stocked my magazines, and was always asking if I wanted more tea or if they could pick me up some lunch. Their customer service skills were above-and-beyond..But now, let’s chat their hair expertise.
To start off, Heath, the head stylist, and my new favourite person, chatted to me about what I wanted to achieve. I wanted to go for something new, something that matched my pale British skin tone, showed off my hazel eyes and something that was was funky and fun (but not too over the top). We decided upon Goldwell soft copper base that melded into a soft Titian and Maple Ballyage. We drew colour inspiration from Blake Lively and Bella Thorne: can you tell?

My cut was all about ridding the old, and gaining the new. Alarna gave me an extraordinary cut that was layered at the front, but all one length around the back. My hair is now thick, bouncy and really easy to style. I lost about 3 inches, but it feels so much healthier, easy to maintain and is now something I don’t just throw in a bun: I want to show it off!

My friends say I look like a pin-up girl, and I have had so many compliments from random strangers. I even went out and was talking to someone on the weekend who was baffled that I was actually naturally brown-haired! So basically, that is a massive success in my eyes.

AFTERCARE

Now let’s chat aftercare. Investing all your money in to an expensive hair colour is wasted if you do not use the appropriate tools to maintain it. I am currently using (and loving) the Goldwell Rich Repair range. To be honest, I should really be using their coloured range, but my hair dastardly dry, and it seems to be doing the trick for now. I always finish off my look with my favourite Goldwell Brilliance drops that literally have my locks shining bright like a diamond.

I use the following products (as per image above):

Goldwell Rich Repair Shampoo
Goldwell Rich Repair Anti-Breakage Conditioner
Goldwell Rich Repair 60 second treatment
Goldwell Rich Repair Thermo Leave-in treament
Goldwell Style Sign Melting Diamonds

All products can be purchased in-salon at Prema, or online at RY.com.au. For more information on the unbelievably brilliant Goldwell products, visit there website here- http://www.goldwell.com.au/

THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING YOUR HAIR PROFESSIONALLY COLOURED:

If anything goes wrong, professionals are on-hand to remedy the issue
They understand colour, and skin tone, and know what works with your features. Estimating that goth black will go swimmingly with pale skin-tones, is not, in my eyes a professional opinion
They have professional aftercare products
They have trained for years for a reason: they know their shit!

I truly love my colour. I love my length. I truly just loved the WHOLE Goldwell experience at Prema Hair, and I know you will be blown away when you visit too!

Prema Bondi is located at Westifield Bondi Junction, on Level 3 (near Coles)
** I was kindly gifted this hair experience from Goldwell and Prema Salon for blog consideration. I received the hair goodies (minus the serum) from a Goldwell event earlier on in the year. This did not, in any way, influence my opinion on the product.

  • Your hair looks fantastic – and no judgement at all…. I haven’t had my hair coloured since before I got pregnant, and didn’t want to be exposed to the chemicals during my pregnancy. My son is now over 4 months old, so I have some serious re-growth and really need it redone, but now struggling to find the time…hmmmm

    • Thanks gorgeous!

Haha I don’t even have a kid, so I pretty much had no excuse not to colour it. But i was lucky that the colour before didn’t look like it needed a colour as it was ballyage (always a lazy girls saviour)! So happy with this colour and cut and it has inspired me to maintain it!

I hope you find the time 🙂

      Luc xx

Hotty! What a gorgeous colour and TOTALLY brings out your eyes. I can’t imagine a lot of people could pull that colour off, but I am well impressed with it on you. Good on you!

I love Prema. I used to go to their Surry Hills salon when I lived in Sydney. Helen was my girl and was just divine. I know what you mean about all the staff: they are beyond lovely. I miss them every day!
