NEUTROGENA BEACH DEFENCE SPF 50+ SUNSCREEN REVIEW

If you are a long time reader of my blog, you will be accustomed to my bombardment plethora of posts on Anti-ageing and Sunscreen. And, in case you weren’t aware, these two common topics of mine, happen to go hand-in-hand with each other, as sun damage leads to premature ageing… So, basically, if you are petrified of ageing (like me), you better start slip, slop, slapping real quick.

I am a total believer in getting out in the sun, soaking up some rays and getting your required dose of Vitamin D: but, I will never forgo sunscreen. So, being the sun-cancer warrior that I am, I thought I would flick you another review, of my current absolute favourite sunscreen, that I cannot recommend higher for the whole family. From the makers of another favourite SPF of mine (Ultra Sheer 50 + Spray), comes another scientific feat: Neutrogena Beach Defence range
Neutrogena Beach Defence Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ and Neutrogena Beach Defence Sunscreen Spray SPF 50+ both $16.99

Neutrogena Beach Defence Sunscreen is the most delicious smelling, lightweight sunscreen, with a quick absorption rate that offers broad spectrum UVA (the rays that cause ageing) and UVB (the rays that cause burning –> skin cancer) protection. With the mega high SPF 50+ (my favourite kind of SPF), this baby is water resistant and hypoallergenic, and contains moisturising properties, leaving you with hydrated skin, whilst maintaining its SPF factor.

With the added benefit of HELIOPLEX technology, a particle that absorbs the deadly UVA and UVB rays, meaning it won’t break the sunscreen down or lose its ability to be protective to your skin. Talk about a scientific breakthrough!

To top it off, both the spray and lotion are at a price point that is cheap and cost effective. So, I don’t want to hear any of those “it is too expensive to use sunscreen” excuses. I tell you what is expensive- skin cancer!

So, instead of worshipping at the alter of the sun this summer, why not preach the SPF? Skin cancer ain’t sexy, nor is dying from a preventable disease. Trust me, I have seen way too many family members have to go through invasive treatments, have to endure radiation treatment which lead to third degree burns on their face (which then led to an infection, and a hefty few weeks in hospital): all because they thought they were immune. Please people: slip, slop, slap and wrap and be careful, life is too precious to throw away for a tan.
** I was kindly sent this product to review. This did not, in any way, influence my opinion on the product.
