I have had a personal love for Rimmel for years. Their ‘wake me up foundation’ has my boss thinking I am a morning person, and their colourful array of nail polishes got me through my ‘I-am-so-stressed-but-trying-to-grow-my-nails-so-must-keep-them-painted-at-all-times’ faze. So when the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers landed on my desk, I knew it was going to be love at first application. Hey, if Kate Moss approves, you know you have a good thing.
It isn’t often that I am able to go 3-4 hours without freaking out about smearing or having to reapply my lipstick, but with Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer, the fear is totally gone, because, in my mind, I am wearing lip gloss and there is no wet-feel after 5 minutes, just hydrated and coloured lips. The long lasting, intensely pigmented colour offers stained and not-too-glossy lips, that ‘pop’ we all desire and have people asking: what are you wearing?!
For a steal at $15.95, you won’t be able to stop at just one: and with the massive array of colours- why would you? You have first dates, nights on the town, movie night, weddings, work all covered with these sexy, fun and subtle colours. I wore mine to dinner two weeks ago, and the waiter came over and preached my lip colour (I was wearing Apocalptic- as below) and by the end of the night, the whole restaurant knew who and what colour I was wearing- my date wasn’t all that excited to be the centre of attention ha #TrueStory!
To be honest with you, I was pretty darn petrified that I was going to be heading straight to hell with all the ‘end of the world’ /Apocalypse theory last year (go on, judge me). So, jumping with joy that I am still alive, and that my beauty collection is still intact, this is one Apolopytic beauty I am happy to consort with. Not to mention, the slogan has me laughing on the inside (seriously: don’t you just want to be on the Rimmel Marketing team?) with the slogan ‘The end of colour as you know it’! Seriously Rimmel; you are geniuses and I love you guys so much it hurts! The end.
Have you tried the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers yet?
